BIOGRAPHY

Shanee Zamir is a popular classical - crossover soprano coloratura singer, composer, and a peace advocate who performs across a spectrum of operatic arias and popular songs.  Sung on many TV shows, at sporting events, and in support of many charities around the world.

In 2013 Shanee competed on the European Television Song Contest, "Israel Eurovision", winning 1st Place in the Public's Vote with the song she wrote and composed, “Forever", an original combination of opera and Israeli pop sound.

Shanee began her music career in the classical tradition, trained in piano at the tender age of 6. Shanee studied opera with Ella Milch, who is known in Israel and throughout the world as a leading composer of operas and popular music. Shanee discovered through te classic music her passion to create her own style of music, combining opera with new-age music. Her self-made style evolved into a combination of diverse influences including opera, lyric poetry, modern beat, rock, ethnic and synth-pop.

Shanee displayed a maturity beyond her years to graft her natural gift of singing with her professional knowledge of music. This proved itself in the 1999 Israeli youth talent prime time competition broadcasting -'Bravo', where Shanee won at the age of 12 the 1st place with her rendition of the most suitably named song –"The Winner Takes It All" by the legendary group "ABBA".

In 1999, Shanee led the widely publicized Anthem song for one of Israel’s largest medical provider, “Clalit” and did the same for the Israeli Premier Soccer League’s team “Maccabi Netanya” between 1999 and 2000.

In the year 2004, at the age of 17, Shanee headlined as a soprano soloist with the prestigious Israeli Cameri Orchestra with the renowned conductor Noam Sherif.  She was invited to perform on a very special night – "U.S.A – Israel", at the Tel Aviv Museum. There, in front of Israel's government representatives and VIP members of the U.S.A, Shanee sang operas with her angelic voice.

Shanee is an accomplished recording artist, releasing in 2005 her 1st Album to the national radio stations. Her first single "Eretz Hachalomot" (The Land Of Dreams), reached to the top songs in Israel and was nominated for the Best Song of the Year by Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA).

During her career, Shanee has performed on Israel's most prestigious stages, such as: Nokia Arena in Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv Museum of Art with the Cameri Orchestra of Israel, The International Convention Center “Binyanei HaUma” in Jerusalem, Haifa International Convention Center, Main stage 59th Israel Independence Day and many more.
